Hello everyone, we just found a baby bird that appears to have fallen from his nest which is about 7 meters tall. His wings are spread out and he seems injured. He is tiny, and can't walk, instead he was moving around with his wings. We game him some water mixed with corn powder and he seemed to drink a little. He estimate that he can't have been there for more than 24 hours. We put in in a shoe box now and put him in cotton. What else can we do? Tomorrow we will try to find his nest but right now we can't because it is very dark outside. Any help would be greatly appreaciated. I will attatch pics:

Some smaller birds of the wild variety subside mainly on seeds. What is your little guy? If he is fully feathered , he may have just been put out of the nest. I've taken care of adult wild birds before with success, but babies can be a lost cause sometimes. However if he is fully feathered than he can eat on his own. Also check his eyes..if they are red that can mean house finch eye disease..I've cared for a couple birds with that...those birds are bullied or they can't see and starve to death.

You're doing the best thing keeping him warm and safe.
Thanks for the advice, he is pretty much entirely feathered and his eyes are very small. He is a very, very small bird which is why we wondered if we is a baby bird or an adult. We actually found him in our duck's coop which is why were were so confused as to how he got there and assumed he fell from our roof (our coop is adjacent to our house). He has a very fine and small beak and seems to be able to swallow and eat but he sees pretty weak and can move his wings but he is not moving his legs. Since his beak is so tiny we don't really know what seeds to give him. What seeds can work?

Ok, so we are comparing pictures on google and we believe he is a baby hummingbird given his tiny size and long beak. He appears to be extremely young and are still very amazed that he just appeared in our duck's coop. We'll try to find the nest he may have fallen from tomorrow but in the meantime does anyone have experience dealing with baby hummingbirds?

Please be very careful if handling him and then your own flock. I would keep him in an area away from them and make sure to wash your hands thoroughly after touching anything in the area he is being housed in. If he is a baby he may not eat regular bird food. My suggestion is to call the closest zoo or animal rescue tomorrow morning and ask for help and if they will take him in to assess.

Give him a little bit of sugar water for him to perk up

So we left him to rest a little right now, since he seems scared and tired. We did give him some sugar water through the help of a syringe and he drank a little. He can chirp pretty loudly and don't worry, he is separated from our flock
