Hey all!!

So I was never really concerned about this before because Vause has done this her entire life. But recently I have been doing home research on google and got myself worried so I wanted to ask here!

Vause leaks water from her nostrils, or at least it looks like water. It’s all of the time.

I wasn’t concerned until every search came back water logged ducks and then they passed away.

Thank you so much for your answers!!

Love,
Savana and Vause ❤️

How often does it happen? Sometimes the crop just gets overfilled and some comes back up.

It is an all of the time thing. It’s happened since birth. She LOVES to drink A LOT of water. Even over food. She has cleared almost a whole water feeder and the food feeder was left untouched. I don’t know if that could factor? I’ve always heard of Muscovy ducks being the eaters!! Haha

Get us a recent pic of her so we can see her face.

Is the liquid clear and looks like water or is it thick and look like mucus?

My Muscovy's stand at the water buckets continually dipping their heads in to get a good dunk or drink Much more than my Runners or Buffs do. And I have seen water come out of their nares.

The liquid is clear and looks like water. Every time I try to get a picture of the liquid she shakes it out. She may just like water a lot lol!!

I'd say probably just water over flow. lol She looks healthy eyes are bright and clear. Does she get to go outside for fresh air and sunshine? Carnucles look pale. But maybe she hasn't started laying yet.

she does get outside a lot. i posted another thread about her caruncles because i was pretty sure she should have all of the ones she is going to get, but she doesn’t have any.. she hasn’t started laying yet, but i also am keeping a close eye out because i know that they’re good at hiding their eggs.
