I see what you mean. I think that in CLs (assuming that the traits underdiscussion are from CLs)--- have a pretty wide variety in the way that they express their barring genes....but yes, yours does show more distinct barring - especially in the tail. good insight.I don't know, my cockerel was showing a lot more of the barred affect when he was younger. He was never that "red".
Although I think his rooster is also very attractive!
I agree enola. I think all the Cream Legbars are pretty, but really like the crele variety. They are my favorite.I am VERY interested in helping to develope this variety of Legbars. I am very disappointed in the washed out colors of the Cream Legbars that the SOP calls for. I also think there is room for the white sport.
So sad! Will you be able to get more chickens once you move to PA?I had three Cream Legbar hens that I wanted to find a crele rooster for. But, I am moving to PA and had to give my chickens up.
