If there's Marek's virus in it, and it's wood, with 'nooks and crannies', you can't sterilize it! If it's been vacant for years, probably safe (clean, spray for bugs), but if recently used, I'd burn it.

Aren't outhouses considered 'picturesque'? Plant a vine on it instead. Does it have a door with that cute moon cutout?

I went to buy a used coop from a long-time chicken owner, and she told me to get a new one. She said the risk of Coccidiosis was high for youngsters like mine.

Looks too genuine to be picturesque, though maybe an interesting paint job would help. I'm pretty well convinced I'll be to cautious to use it for chickens. At least for now anyway.

I'm the odd lady out here.... but I would disinfect it, paint it, repair any gaps or openings for predators and then use it!

Free is the best price ever. So It's a little small, but it will certainly be useful for something.

I actually had envisioned a multi-story rabbit hutch last night. Whatever it gets turned into, it will be useful!
