If it turns out that you are SOL and stuck with it, don't duct tape it, LOL. Go to the store and buy two part epoxy 15 MINUTE (it does not get as hot as 5 minute), get the kind that mixes it in the tube for you. Align the parts before mixing the glue, once you know they will fit back together, take a couple of pieces of masking tape and have them ready to hold the parts together. Get a couple small pieces of stiff card board or paper (like the backing of the epoxy package) to use as a spreader. Squeeze out the epoxy and use ALOT of it, you only need to put it on one side of the part but both sides is better. Use the epoxy to fill in the areas where the parts don't fit together well. Put the parts back together and use the spreader to squeegee off the excess that oozes out. Use the tape to hold the parts together, and let it dry for an hour without touching it. Remove the tape slowly, its possible that the tape may stick to the epoxy, that is ok since you are not going for looks here. It would be nice if someone helped you, 4 hand are better than 2. Foam like this is easy to work with, no matter how bad you think the parts are, they CAN be glued back together. I used this method for a lot of projects including model airplanes. Epoxy is the BEST was to go with foam.
