Wonderful!! Made me feel good today! I am so looking forward to seeing what these little guys look like all fluffed up.
Today is day 22 of your incubation, yes? Are there more pipping?
Sheesh, wish I would read more completely, I see you already said you had another pipping!
Thank you! I was pretty surprised that the remaining three hatched!! I will post a picture tomorrow but two are blue and one is black? I’ve never had croads before but they sure do look like some marans
???? BLUE?? Are these birds crosses with something else? I don't know anything about them but I thought they were a black chicken. They probably will look a little like Marans as chicks I think with the lightly feathered feet but I don't know that they have any coppering.
Here are the pictures of them fluffed up! Now I’m not sure if they are truly croads like what was said by shipper but they still are cute!
That was my thoughts too! Two seem to be a grayish blue color and one seems to be a black/ grayish color. I’m not sure extactly what they are now because the croad chicks I seen on google don’t look like them but that’s okay.
"The most common colour is black with a beetle green sheen but there are also white Croads. Blue and splash birds have been obtained by crossing with other breeds and the so have the bantams."
