Utah!

thanks Cynthia, I got done what I could and put down some fresh shavings, it should really help.

It was great during the summer though, was never too hot in there. :)

I tried to get some pics of the chickens while I was out there, but they were all freaked out and hiding. They don't like change, but love their routine.

Oh goodness! I am going to share something with you, that will let me, let you, laugh at me.

I just went in to check the humidity of the bator. I saw something in there and thought, how in the world, did that mouse get in there!! I almost took the lid off! Then, another thought came as a speedy second thought, it's a chick! These are not supposed to hatch until Fri. I even looked at the eggs with a flash light today, but didn't see anything. Well then. I just may have more by tomorrow. Ya think...ha ha..a mouse? Where did that come from? After all these years of hatching, and I think that? It's only 6 at night, so it isn't like I'm sleep deprived here. I'm still laughing at myself. That didn't make a noise. In fact, when I flashed the light on it, it still didn't make a noise. It is just laying there with it's eyes open, staring up at me. Came from a creme colored egg. It is from one of her Pencils that she bought from me. So, will have to go back into my e-mail and see what she has for roosters, she wrote down all the roos and hens. I really want to know what hatches from that turquoise egg...hope it waits until I can watch! Oh man...too funny having that thought. It really did look like a drowned rat/mouse!

That's too funny! Sounds like something that I would do. I'm glad your mind caught itself and you didn't open the bator! So cute. LOL

I did just open the bator. I couldn't leave in there for two days. It will knock all the others around, plus, it will probably need something to drink and eat by the time the others hatch, unless the come early too. I don't see any pips, but I didn't see that one pipped either. I put real warm water in as I was hurrying and getting the baby out. That incubator holds the humidity like no other. Not like the forced air ones. So, I'm not too worried..other than I have to go for a MRI in the morning, and an X-ray of my neck. So, if they start going, I will be gone! I called the gal, she said if it is all black, dad would be an Australorp. I'm think I'm seeing blue instead! Will have to ask her about that. She knows the egg came from a Pencil She has blue Ameraucanas. :) Pretty sure she has a blue dad A.

Cynthia, how funny, and that is so exciting! Congrats on the early baby! And eww, I feel for you with your doctor's appointments tomorrow. I hope everything goes well and quickly for you so that you can get home to fuzzy cuteness!

I have a job interview tomorrow! And for those of you that kind of know what's going on with my BF and his situation, Friday is a big day. I am going to explode from anxiety! Ahhhh!!

Whittni, I know the feeling! My two youngest Icelandics are the closest thing that I have to baby chicks right now, so they get picked up and loved a lot. They're such tolerant birds.

Ok quick help... The guy is offering chicks from his next hatch. He said the roo is blue with gold leakage over a blue hen, a porcelain hen, and a white frizzle hen.... With this make cool chickens?... I have no idea how it works
