Utah!

So not even 1 mil per gallon. Oh geez, that is hardly anything. And I was freaking out. lol

I just went and looked and I do have just 1 mL dropper thing, so I can measure out the 0.6. That is hardly anything. I feel much better putting it in their water now.

LOL... I just sent you a PM saying the same measurements.

Hope with everybody letting you know the same measurements, that you feel it's safe for you to use.

But would you do that for an outside run?  I was thinking of getting the DE, but the lady told me the stall cleaner was better.  But that was just for the coop.  But I like the thought about the DE helping with mites. :D

I don't do it in the outside run. For that, I throw straw down (I keep thinking I should try hay one of these times). The chickens tear it aprt nicely, then in a month or so, I start over.

Anybody have lavender Am chicks/teens/hens for sale? I have a guy that is looking for one.

I have eggs in the bator for lav ams. Not sure how they will do though. Last time, I only hatched one.

Meesha, they are birchen marans. I love the silver birchen color. I have four boys and a girl from my last hatch, I sure hope some of the seven chicks I just got are girls!

I was starting to think maybe I should put sand in there so it can drain better. It is extremely hard packed dirt, along the wall its loose from the girls scratching and scratching, but the rest is solid hard packed dirt, and that it just not draining. So I wonder if I get some sand if it will drain better. But what type of sand is safe for them. I just got 12 bags of fresh play sand for the kids sandbox, and after dumping it, the bags state "Known to cause Cancer" But its labeled Kid Sandbox Sand. Way to go home depot!

Is this an omen for things to come??......UGH!!!

:th: I know some people swear by the sand in the run. I may be persuaded myself at some point, but for now, I am trying to keep large amounts of compost as I slowly, piece by piece, convert my yard into a food source. I blame it on the chickens. All I wanted was a pet and was able to persuade DH that since they lay eggs, they would make a good pet. See if he ever listens to me again :gig
