Just love stopping by and reading the threads of my friends, both dear and still 'to-be-met'.
I officially opened my little hatchery going on two weeks (yes, had to get a state license for it). It has been ultra busy but so rewarding, emotionally and financially (starting to catch up on the feed store bill!!!). Have met some super nice people and some have traveled a LONG way for my fuzzy butts. Love it!! Have printed up histories of the breeds I offer, chick care directions, and give them all a lesson on bio-hazard prevention.
All the horrendous grief I had received from DH and his daughters over the last couple years about my chickens has come to an end...lol.
I have even had people tipping me and sending me texts about what a positive experience buying from me was. (Of course, I share those comments with DH!!!!!!!) Many people are glad their is now a local hatchery available so they don't have to buy from the feed stores, or in large amounts from the big hatcheries. This of course is going to effect the feed store here...lol. They will be selling more chick starter, lay feed and scratch however their offer of buying my chicks for only $2.50 each, I'm going to pass on. The feed store sells for $5 each minimum. I can do that!!!!!! Hahahaha!!
Just finished another coop...... whew, now the run needs be built!! Well, gotta get busy, again. Big hugs to you all!!
