Gary I know that feeling, I was in IFA just the other day picking up feed, and I had to walk or more like run to the counter. I so wanted to get a GLW or SLW, and maybe a Cochin, they were just so cute. I'm lucky I made it out without any.

I have Jumbo Coturnix Quail. Probably the same thing, Most that I see for sale are jumbo. I actually sent some to a guy over by you named Sean, and he said there were folks with those out your way....

If that is what they are, you just incubate like normal, except they hatch earlier, day 16 or 17, and so you want to lockdown by the 14th day at the latest, and keep the humidity a little higher than for chicken eggs, 35-45 percent has worked for me through incubation, then 65+ at lockdown. They get stuck in the shell easily if the humidity drops from opening the bator, so I let mine all run together for a day in the bator before opening up. I read that somewhere, and it really is best to leave them be. Good luck!

Hatching update! 2 icelandics hatched, and 2 with pips. One day early. Pics to come. Still waiting on my wheaten EE mix. (Let me know when yours hatch, Lisa)!

Yay! I have no icelandic pips yet. But my SBEL's have several--one out, 4 almost done, and a few more going. One of the 2nd gen SBEL's looks to be a blue chick instead of the white. Cute! Hope my Icees pip soon. I think I set mine on a Sunday night, so not too worried yet, but yours definitely cooked faster than mine :p

Oh, that is tempting! Unfortunately I'll be waiting until May for my new girls, but I'm not prepared anyways so it's all good! :3

Yep, got my Meyers order all done and paid for. Got some new and old breeds coming! I've had Brahmas and Delawares before of course, but the other five are new to me. White Cochin, Dark Cornish, New Hampshire Red, Salmon Faverolle and, hoping I don't regret it later, Black Sumatra.

I also found some old pics and videos of my previous birds I'll have to try showing to you guys. xD

You have no idea how much I've missed coming on here, it's just been hard. Losing my flock again, and life stuff. Time to rebuild.

I really envy you all who are hatching eggs this season. Unfortunately I've misplaced part of the incubator I've borrowed, eep.

So jealous!!
You HAVE TO post pics when you get your Meyer box. Please :D My favorite thing in the world, is the little box just filled with fluff. You must promise to share that fun moment :D I really want to get one order this year from Cackle, I keep putting it off! I meant to do it last month. Now I better wait, I am running out of room.

I'll be sure to do that! LOL I'm sure they'll all look so cute in their box!
I'll be taking lots of pictures for sure~

I'm gonna try and find new things to do with my babies this year. I'm taking getting them socialized and turned into my little buddies more seriously, and I want to be able to stimulate the more intelligent ones if I can.

Does anyone know if I can purchase a replacement for a Little Giant incubator? I have a feeling that one of the plastic windows is lost or destroyed. lD
