Utah!

Cookies? Why am I not seeing those cookies..if you mean the Girl Scout ones, around here?

I want some mint cookies!

Nope, not GS cookies. Gus traded me some homemade cookies for a few eggs, and by the texture of them, they are like gourmet cookies :)

Oh boy, I am so tired today! Sorry if I came off as a little gruff, Gus. I'm out of it, lol.

Hello all! My girls are now at least a month old and doing awesome! After Lisa took care of our poor lil Crossbeak for us, we ended up with 2 more EEs and today my daughter came home with 2 more chicks. This chicken math is getting to us! We were told that they were rare breeds from a breeder in ID. I think the black one is a French Black Copper Marans. He/she has feathered feet. Any idea what the grey one is? I'm kicking myself for not getting the Ameraucana. I was too busy thinking EE. But since this one came from a breeder and a beautiful blue egg, it was most likely true.

Red, I'm so glad you liked them!! I should have brought more... They were my healthy spin on snickerdoodles. :) And you were nothing but pleasant today! I put the eggs under my mommy broody this afternoon. My four year old said, "Mom, we should pray that these chicks do well." :) He's a sweety.

Cynthia, I have an amazing healthier (you can only make chocolate so healthy because it comes with sugar in it...) mint chocolate chocolate chip cookie recipe. Let's all have a cookie/chicken party together! ;)

Ipick, I started with twelve. I'm allowed twenty-five. I currently have twenty-four adults, seven chicks, and nine eggs under a broody... I don't even know how this happened. It just sucks you in! My husband is super patient.

Does anyone breed Blue Orps? Do you think this is one?

Here is my pullet for sale. She was hatched on New Years Day. A barnyard mix, but sure looks like she has some silver Wyondotte in her! Spring eggs, or early summer eggs for sure coming up. :)
