Cynthia, my camera link is in my signature. You're going to laugh at me, but in my head, I was pronouncing polish as in "Polish Chickens" and I was really confused. There's not enough feather development for me to do my wing sexing yet. From my older chicks, I think I got all but one correct. And considering this was my first attempt, I think that's pretty good.

These chicks are so cute and tiny. I'm thinking they have been even smaller than my chicks were.

UtahDad, I'm glad you got a kick out of the doctor's appointment. I'm also flattered to hear that my egg hatching cam was helpful. I figure the new batch will be hatching late Sunday, but more likely Monday.

Red, yes chicken/egg fever is happening! It is like a soap opera---"As the Egg Turns"

first chicks then by summer it will be like
Christmas as we all open our little gifts to see what is inside, "blue or roo"

That soap opera bit made me giggle, Lisa. Ahhh you guys are lucky to be doing the chick exchange! I'm working on getting a place set up to have chicks, and then I can have some new babies.

With all these new chicks coming I am wondering what to do with the older ones. I have a 3 yr old Americana Hen that hasn't laid an egg in 2 months. So what to do with her? I am up for suggestions I can dispatch her to the crock pot but The yr old daughter is fighting me on that idea.

msemanuel, I would say maybe give her a few more weeks and see if the increased daylight coaxes her to lay any more?

wow i have not been getting the emails like i should so i thought no one was posting lol. grrrr i want more chickens. problem is most people heat their coops and i do not

My emails quit coming too. I have reset my preferences and it still is not working. Something must be up with the site......Cynthia SO excited to get these chicks. Thanks so much!!! And as in my message to you earlier, i am going to post some picks of my black EE.s You guys look at this tail and tell me what you think...no pointed feathers yet, but the voices are changing....tails growing......I am SWEATING ha ha!

Ok look at this POSTURE on Shirley---suspicious for sure!! Remember she is the one who was in big girl's face at 6 weeks old...no fear.....Then the last one, LaVerne's white whiskers coming in. Too cute

Sphinx----I just jumped on that cam link to see the babies. I am amazed!! They are the cutest babies I think I have ever seen. I cannot wait to get them tonight!!! The one---Keeps standing up and looking underneath itself, very funny. Thanks again for giving them a ride back with you Thanks Cynthia for hatching us such little cuties

Thanks for the babies Cynthia! They are nice and toasty under their 100 watt bulb I think I know what the mystery exotic chick is....Do you think it could be Penedesenca or maybe a Fayoumi?
