Utah!

Soo getting a couple of these. A small one for my little cockeral out there, then one for when he gets bigger! A collar that keeps them from making a huge noise! No surgery. Turn your sound up..

Tell me when you are ordering one and how much. My parents won't let me order stuff online unless its eBay.

Cynthia, that collar is amazing. I have heard whispers (ha ha) of it. That makes me think that maybe keeping my roosters after I move is possible. If you do get one, report back!

Silly, those babies have just GOT to hatch!

My eggs aren't due til Sunday, I think I'll lock them down tomorrow. I think the 6 cuckoo marans will go back to my neighbor. But, there's an OE in there, Silly, if you want it for your daughter.

Wendy I would love an OE, I need some color outside, but I don't want a lonely chick, I'm hoping they hatch. But she has been watching, and watching. I feel so bad, I guess incubation is way harder then I thought it would be. But I'm still hoping that it they will hatch. How long after 21 days should I wait? It will be 22 days at 8am tomorrow.

Karen...i am not breeding the Silkies yet. I have a splash hen that laid for a a couple weeks in the fall but has stopped for the winter. Funny thing about Silkies even with a light on in the coop 24/7 they still know its not the right time of the year to lay. Even my older hen Twister is not laying. I don't breed twister due to her handicaps ( i don't want to pass on any bad genes). Come spring i will have eggs available. I have a white hen and a splash as of now but am thinking about picking up a couple more that's at point of lay in the spring. My rooster will probable have a heart attack trying to impress all his girls.

Cynthia i need to get a picture of the little white one i got from you. She is so pretty. The blue turned out to be a rooster. Does anyone want a blue Silkie roo? He is bearded and has a big crest. Nice body shape and lots of leg feathers. He is not crowing yet but will be soon i think, he is about 19 weeks old.

No worries Gary, maybe if these 2 eggs don't hatch I might have to call down to my friend and see if her neighbors are getting eggs, if not she will have to just wait for another Silkie. I know in the summer he was selling hatching Silkie eggs. I just need a momma outside to hatch some chicks, that way I won't have to worry about me doing something wrong.

I might....can you post a picture? If I can find just the right guy I might want another boy. At least to try and see if he is not a crazy noisy one. I have all in one separate pen, a black showgirl, a white showgirl, 2 white silkies (one bearded and one not), and one gorgeous blue partridge silkie, they need a sugar daddy. I would like to breed them this Spring so it is a little early, but a blue boy sure would make for some fun mixes of colors. A blue boy mixed with the black and white showgirl could give me some fun B/B/S babies! These girls are TINY.
I just saw he came from Cynthia's hatch---Cynthia do you remember where the silkies came from?
