My oldest would LOVE a frizzle, but I'm trying to keep chickens that are decent layers. I won't tell her you have one because she'll want it.

I was so surprised that IFA had BLRW. I'm sure that won't meet the SOP and all that...but I don't really care. I've wanted something blue in my flock since i started with chickens 2 years ago. The AF IFA also has all their different chick breeds the same prices.i think the SLC IFA had the rarer breeds different prices?

When i was there 2 weeks ago they wanted .60 more for the Bantams. Did you notice what they had in the "little chicken" brooders?

I went to IFA in American fork today to get a nipple waterer for the babies. They had new chicks in today and I may have come home with 2 new babies. They had BLRW so I couldn't resist! I got an EE to keep the BLRW company for the drive home.

We are now at capacity.

Hey Utah chicken owners. Need help getting rid of a rooster. He is an 18 mo okd BO cross. He isNOT aggressive towards people including my 3 year old son. However yesterday he beat the tat out of my older BO roo whom i adore. So he had to go. I don't care if he is dinner as long as he is killed quick and humane. I hate putting him on ksl cause you never know. I figure most people on here care enough to do it right. I live in Heber but could maybe meet up. I just need him gone. Can't put him back in the coop so he is just hanging out I'm the yard.

Sorry for your scuffle trouble. I really hope someone can take him soon.

Hey do you still have your rooster? Where are you at? I am looking for a rooster for my girls. I am incubating eggs for the first time and want to try a batch from my own chickens before I try and buy some expensive ones

I just moved 10 chicks out to the A-Frame. I decided to keep the Cochins in for a couple more weeks, they are feathering out really slow.

This was the a couple days ago.

I have locked my rooster up with all the hens that wont fly over the 48" run fence. I cant wait to try out my incubator. Its still sitting in the box, has been for 2 weeks. Pretty soon i will have Silkie and Frizzle eggs to hatch. If i breed my Silkie roo to a Frizzle what will i get?

If this birds has a pea comb it will lay an egg with some blue in it. Either a blue or green. If it's a straight comb it won't.

Went to Cal Ranch, won't ask what did I bring home, because one thing is different. A little duck was dieing. I asked if I could have it. Brought it home..along with another puffy cheek and sexling..can't help it..I love them. This puffy cheek one has more blue than black. Anyway, here is a photo of the baby duck. Not sure what kind it is. I told DH, that I was going to give it electrolytes, and that would either help, or do it in faster. It is still breathing. Fast. I am not worried about it having an illness. They did say that 6 of them now have gone..counting this one. It was being trampled on by the others, and they had just come in this morning, so my guess is, some got trampled on pretty good. What kind of duck is this? Poor baby. At least it isn't be trampled on now.
