I just posted the Olive Egger Chicks I have from my Easter Hatch. I gave one to a friend that looked really Rooish, she wanted a Rooster, and so I have 4 left. They are now 9 weeks old and I need to thin them out to only 2. If anyone wants an Olive Egger Chick, please let me know, I'm going to post them on KSL for $15.00 each, Chase Hatchery is selling day olds for $10.00 so I will try then at $15. Anyone on here can have them for $10.00. Just trying to get some feed money

Anyways here is the link if you want to help me sex them. I really would like to keep 2 pullets. The last one, the grey with copper in the neck is my favorite, but I'm thinking its a boy, its gotten really red lately.

Also I'm going to sell off my White Silkie, 4 months old, pretty sure its a pullet, but I could be wrong. I would love to keep her, and I know my 6 year old will be so very mad, but I don't think I want to have 4 broody's next year, and I need to thin out the flock really bad. I'm going to post her for $20.00, but would take $12.00 for anyone on here.

Silly yes, and Liz, yes! I am just setting some on Wed, so I should have plenty for what I want here, then will collect some for you Karen, and Liz, let me know what kind you are looking for if you decide you want some. In the main run I have eggs that would produce OE, and B/B/S Marans, and sex links and then the rest would be barnyard mixes from my Blue Marans Rooster. In another pen I have Silkie/Sg , but they are all broody sitting on eggs to hatch this weekend, so when they start laying again, after I collect promised eggs for abkoldewyn, they will be available too. Those girls are with Ernie the blue Frizzle Silkie rooster....and a black silkie that is randomly starting to mate but I think most eggs would be fertilized by Ernie he is a busy boy. In pen #3 I have a partridge silkie roo in with White Polish, White crested black Polish, and Mottled Houdans if you want to try those for some little crazy hairdo mixed babies.

Quail eggs-- I keep getting over run with too! Coturnix and Texas A&M. Liz I have those all the time if you want any just let me know a few days ahead so I can collect them...I am getting 2-3 Texas and 3-4 Coturnix per day. Depends on the rain they do not seem to lay as much when it is cloudy/darker out. I have 4 dozen in the bator too if anybody wants chicks instead of eggs, they will hatch in 15 days I just set them. (( If my bator stays on/warm this time around! ))

I really want OE, EE and Maran but probably not for another month maybe. Have a bunch of Serama eggs going now.

Just Holler when you are ready, I have 16 different hens that are blue/light green layers with my Marans roo, so lots of OE eggs....more of those than the others for sure.

Are you interested at all in the little splash I posted? You can have it if you are.... don't know if it is a girl though! I don't know if the eggs will be very dark, the momma does not lay dark but the dad came from a dark egg....but the momma is an amazing daily/big egg layer. Both parents are Blue Copper Marans. I could pm you more pics of the comb and feet, the comb is super narrow, I would guess the odds are good, the blue OE that I want to keep looks more boyish and the splash looks more girlish IMO. She is not blue splash, just splash....I am looking to keepr the blues only right now.

I don't mind about the egg color..I want a splash. If when you have decided you have enough blue splash girls..let me know. lol...
No, mine is a girl for sure. No doubting, I thought the same thing at first. Going to be pretty. Just not all blue. Going to look at your other splash now..is it black splash, like those leghorn mixes I hatched a while back?

Speaking of leghorns..remember I said mine went broody? I put three of Diana's eggs under her. I am going to sneak more babies under her as they all start to hatch. She is pretty small. They are due to hatch in a week..next Friday.
I went to check on her as she walking around for the day in the nursery, where I have her..perfect spot! When I came over and opened the door, she gingerly stepped over her eggs clucking away, caught a pic. of her settling down with her neck ruffled a bit..she isn't mean to me. Then with my hand on her..but, note that tail. Straight up. A bit nervous. She is so cute. Usually when I come and visit her, she is way settled down, tail down, just hunkered down and waiting.
Can you tell I'm excited for a mama? Haven't had a mama and chicks for a while. Will be fun. I hope she is a good mama.

I don't mind about the egg color..I want a splash.  If when you have decided you have enough blue splash girls..let me know.  lol...
