hey hatching friends.... I've had my incubator setup for the last couple of days... and I can't get the humidity to change (still air, little giant styrofoam with egg turner, no eggs placed in yet (thank goodness)). I decided maybe I should move it locations today... well, I felt the water in the wells, and they were chilly to say the least.... (my thermometer was at 102) I don't think the humidity got above 30%.... I also noticed when I moved it, that the water was leaking out of the holes I didn't notice before... (sloshed it a little when I moved it)... I set it on a towel, thinking maybe that would help keep the temp in at the bottom..... Is it okay that I covered up those holes at the bottom with the towel?
edit: also... is this a bad idea to offer to do a classroom hatch (the last 3 days, which means I'll be moving it to the school for lockdown) when this is my very first time ever doing a hatch, and really don't have a clue as to what I am doing???
