This is what I am afraid of! I am scared to death of just how many chickens I can fit in my car....I would be glad to look around, and send pics to your phone if I see anything exciting. So Isbars, and good breeding stock Welsummers (boys or girls or both?). Got it. I am taking some boxes....can you imagine how fun my car will smell with 4 month old pullets driving back lol I will try to keep everybody from different sellers separate as much as possible to prevent any cross--germ/mite whatevers. Kinda creepy but we love our chickens so we do what we do

I have a tarp for the floor and am taking my seat out in back. This makes it sound like I am bringing way more chickens back than I truly plan to. Just a few! Maybe I can find homes for a few of my own boys...and chicks.... It should be fun. And interesting. You only live once. Oh AND I get to meet birdguy, the best promoter ever (you are like a celebrity now Shawn hehe). AND get blue eggers, and blue eggs.
I just had a scary mental picture of me driving home with chickens looking out all the windows...

i have enough chickens so no need. i knew someone here wanted islandics but i could not remember who lol so its good lisa remembered. those turkeys sure are cute! so i am guessing you want to breed them? that would be a nice source of meat

D'oh! I missed responding to this, sorry. I think the BB turkeys are hard to breed, since they get so big. My boyfriend likes raising them and having them around, though he does usually butcher them when they're big enough. Shhhhh

Can't think of that right now. These poults are so cute. Feisty, in a laid back kind of way.

My DH, told me this morning that HE would like 1 or 2 banty Polish chicks. I was floored, but I'm not about to complain!

So, do any of you know someone within about a 2 hour drive of Logan that has Polish bantams?

It will be late when i get back so maybe if you are out Saturday you could stop over to pick up your boy. I will have change for that $5 dollar bill we keep passing back and forth

Sasha I pm'd you with prices on the Wheatens. I am sooooo excited to pick up those beauties, she is going for sure to Chickenstock and has her hotel paid for so it is a done deal. And I am getting amazing blue eggs! Finally!!! Yay!!!! Now watch something will happen.....my chicken will lay the first green egg ever and all the eggs will break on the way home. How is that for positive thinking! This has got to work.....ok I will be more positive---maybe I will get blue eggs and all Cynthias I get will be girls and they will be blue eggers and my lav will lay blue and then......

I will be in egg heaven

Thank you that will give the boss her trio. I am taking a bunch of cloverbuds to willow park so they can take pictures Saturday so I will be in town.

Sasha there is a user QualityPolish in Logan....I asked for eggs awhile back but they were using them for a breeding project, you could pm them and see you never know? There is a link to a facebook page on the profile page....

I would be happy to incubate for you for free--I have a Sportsman and I am not afraid to use it!

We go up through Summit County a couple of times a week on our way to Duchesne.

On a different note, does anyone going to Chickenstock want to scope things out for me for Isbars? I can't go because I have to work, but I would love to have some HEALTHY Isbars! Also, we are looking for a few good breeder stock Welsummers for Joel. He will be getting a few in in another week or two, but I would like to have a mix of breeder stock for him for genetics and all.

Argh, I wish I could go. On the other hand, I'd probably come back with about a billion chicks, so maybe it is best that I don't!

AWESOME! I don't know where my time's gone but I am totally off on that too - I thought ChickStock was at least a month away. *stupid look* So I don't know if we'll be going, I may have to work.

But.... now that I know Corvidae has so generously offerred to incubate 'if I win eggs' that makes me feeling good about buying raffle tickets. Now fingers crossed that I win something you want 1/2 of! I wonder if you have to be there in person to win chicks?

User "gamebirdsonly" has bantam polish. They are north of us---I think in Lewiston. I went through my mailbox, I knew there was someone else......I had talked to them about polish eggs too but I wanted LF and they said they had only bantam.
