Hi, I've had a super busy day! Went and met up with DiDi..dsgard. Got two of her EE's, one for a gal in Payson, and one for me. Very nice birds. Squeaky clean, not one bug in site and really looked good. I knew they would..I have bought eggs from her, and kept the blue that I've pictured. She came down half way to meet with us to give us birds. Have I said this enough..I love Chicken people!

I have lots of babies. Have already sold two of the SF's, and one of the Favorelles. Actually, more of the SF's, but they aren't gone yet.
Will post pictures either tonight or tomorrow. So tired. I had all 9 of the SF's hatch. 6 of the 12 Favorelles hatch. They are so cute, and the SF's do come in all colors!

It's Greek dip night tonight at my house, and I had leftover Greek yogurt and cucumbers from the Tazitki I made. I'd read that chickens can like a little yogurt now and then, so I took the senoritas some, and the cucumber. Funniest thing ever! They were eating the yogurt like it was the best thing ever, ignored the cucumbers entirely, and were eating yogurt off of each others' faces and beaks. Should have recorded it with my camera!

HI Megan/mimichicks! So glad you made it on here. So Sundance said there were 13 chicks hatched last night, both Silkie and Sizzle, hope there are some for you in there! Sundance should be checking in soon, she is in Phoenix today

Cynthia, my errands are done, and no chickie pics. You are slacking! Haha! If you are going to be missing in action, then I hope you had something superfun going on today.
Ithildyn, Urban, I warned you guys.....chickens in closets, garages, bedrooms, it will happen to you too, just wait lol I am still trying to figure out how to expand my coop/run again and we just did it in April

DH is just wagging his finger at me, "you promised that was all!" Ha ha. It is not.....

Um so YA I did have my babies in my closet at one point.....then my two year old found them so then had to move them to the kids bathroom that could lock! Ya that was not fun to share a SMALL bathroom with three boys and my hubby By the way what does DH stand for? Am I missing something......
So I have some bad and scary news for me went out to check on my girls that can sleep out there in the coop and I found some poop with some blood!!!!!!!
WHAT DO I DO!!!!!
I have been giving them the Nutragena brand of chick starter feed the non medicated kind and today even before I found this I bought a new bag of medicated kind same brand for the babies.....so when I found the poop with the blood I gave the older girls some new food.
Is this contagious are all my girls going to get this?!!! I am sooooo sad!!!!
PLEASE HELP!

Yes, 9 out of 9 in lock down hatched! And 6 out of 12 hatched of the Favorelles.

Can be a normal thing. Happens once in a while. If they are eating and drinking, acting fine, sometimes, they pass blood, and sometimes, it's watermelon or tomatoes. Just watch them, my guess is, they are fine. If you keep seeing blood, that's a different story.
