Utah!

I aplologize for not responding sooner.  The blue's eggs are usually bluer and larger than the blacks since they are usually larger in body size.  They are a nice light greenish blue.  You can ask Cynthia if she thought they looked more blue than green.  She hatched some last year I think. Right now I am kind of holding off on giving any more away until my situation firms up a little more.  I got news Saturday afternoon that makes me think it is a little more "iffy" than I thought.  I will keep you all posted if anyone is still interested in any of them.

Ok sounds good! If you do rehome that one let me know :) Thanks!

Skunks? Ew. WE get those occasionally in our field out back. So far none in the yard...first they would have to get through my fence, then the enclosed run, hope that never happens! My little schizoid dog, would go tear its head off if he spotted one. He chases everything in our yard...just have to keep the chickens out of his reach, birds are his favorite.

I just got home earlier today and on my my my, I have some beautiful chicks. I have some silkies with really high domes. I a, assuming they are the show quality silkies. I have sizzles in many many colors. Black , blue, white spotted and a a chipmunk striped one. So cute. I also had 3 frizzled Americanas hatched. They are all chipmunk looking. I'll try to get some pictures as well as the frizzles I brought home, Does anyone want these eggs I brought home. I hate to start hatching again

I was woken up at three with chickens yelling... I dashed outside with a broom handle lol. And couldnt find a thing but missing a rooster :( I have/had two roosters that I was looking for new homes for them... I couldnt get them in the coop last night for the life of me. Everyone in the coop is perfectly fine... My coop is like a fort thanks to my great-grandpa. I wish I knew exactly whats out there. Im thinking a sting operation is in my near future.

Sundance- cant wait to see pics :)

That time of the year! It is getting cold out.....naughty things are lurking near our nice warm chicken dinner smellin' coops. My neighbor lost a girl last week, we think it was a raccoon :(

Mimi--not sure if you saw my post....I am going to sell both of those other white/gray chicks if you want one/them. If you don't want them let me know and I will get them back on ksl :) I wanted to wait and give you first dibs.

Sphinx, I admire your self control, I know this is the worst temptation-- haha so far so good!

Diana, cannot wait to see these babies! So the frizzled ameraucanas---tell us, are they LF, and what are the eggs like for size and color?

here are some pictures of the chicks they are just darling and such unique colors

They are just starting to feather can't tell yet who will be sizzled frizzled or smooth feathers or silkie feathers

These are partridge sizzles which are quite rare Notice the vault on the white chick

More chicks

These are some of the frizzle chicks I brought home from Arizona, The black I am told will be barred, The smaller white ones will be wheaton

These babies are just darling. They are the frizzled Americanas. The eggs they hatched from were very big and blue, I am assuming they will lay blue eggs.

The pictures don't do these guys justice. Look at the big vault on the two on the ends

These are chipmunk sizzles. Very rare look at the vaults

We went to visit a town called Oatman. It was basically a ghost town that wild burro's took up residence in its streets. Now there are shops and restaurants on the main street. They all sell food (hay cubes) for the burros. The foals that are too young for the cubes they put signs on the foreheads not to feed. They are wild and come and go, They come to town at 900 Am give or take and leave at 500pm give or take there are about 12 mares and one jack. 9 babies, Very interesting. The hotel bar has dollar bills all over the wall. It was a big mining tradition to put a dollar bill on the bar wall with your name on it. Tourist have kept up the tradition. Its crazy.

The stallion has a broken ear from fighting other stallions to keep his herd

burros have right of way

foals sigh
