Utah!

It is actually quite nice this morning. 30 degrees at the moment. Yesterday was very cold though.

Each group of chickens have their own area in the coop and a little run. Every day one group gets let out of their little run into the big run. The next day the other group gets out. That way I know who each rooster is with.
So far it is working out fine. Although The wheaten ameraucana is not happy, She wants to be with the BCM Roo.

Here are a few pics...Sparkles the old ameraucana is looking terrible. I took the SL wyandotte out because I think she was pulling her feathers. Who knows?

Good guesses and ones that I will be incubating as soon as breeders let me know they have eggs but for now it is..............

I am so excited I love these chickens. I have been looking for bantam eggs for awhile now. Now if only I will be able to hatch a few. Fingers and everything else crossed too.

Red so sorry to here about your turkey is she any better today? I giggled about you saying she followed up and down with the blow dryer. Funny bird.

Blujem beautiful birds! Every time I see large fowl chickens it makes me wish I could have some but I just don't have enough room.

So, I was kind of close on the colors, at least. Do I get a prize for giving the best wrong answer?

Yes, the turkey is better today, thanks for asking. I was waking up all night because I was worried about her, heh. She's one of my babies, and all ......... She drank most of her vitamin-laced water and spent the night in the garage. When I checked on her this morning, she didn't have any nasal discharge that I could see. Gave her some cooked oatmeal for a treat .........yum yum...........If I have to take her in for another hair dryer session, I will try to get video of her in there. Her personality cheers me up

Hattie, that's a gorgeous variety of chicken. Nice choice.

Blujems, sorry that your poor ameraucana looks so pitiful.

Red, glad that your turkey is doing better today. I'd love to see her watching the blow dryer.

Red you were really close. I want a Appenzeller of course too! Glad to hear you turkey is doing better.

So we got a Cal Ranch here in St. George. It is huge! I like it because it is closer to my house but my DH says he is the only one that can go to it because I would never leave.

My husband loves to go and look at what he likes in there..and there is a lot that he likes in there! How fun, you will be glad you have one near.

Red, you make turkeys sound like so much fun. I can tell you love your turkeys, so when I saw this picture, on the Silkie thread! .... I thought I would share it..we need to see pictures of yours. They can be beautiful..I like the body and tails better than the faces.

This person said that the turkey was showing off for the Silkies. :))

I just reached the point were i am getting 5 dozen eggs for 4 customers a month. this pays for the feed for the month,. except it only leaves me with 1/2 dozen bantam eggs and 2-3 jumbo eggs a week from my top hen who is about a month into molt. Soon i will be down to bantam eggs. Do i need to get a couple more hens to make up for the eggs i want for our family? I think this may be a mild case of chicken math or do i tell my customers that i need an extra week. HELP!

Oh ya 14 more days until Apricot's eggs start to hatch.
