I am the mother of a vaccine injured child - he was 18mos old at the time and we thought he was going to die. In and out of the hospitals, test after (many painful) tests to "rule out" all other potential possibilities. He's 25yrs old now with ongoing vaccine related health issues despite the fact he's never had another in his life! His reaction wasn't just a figment of our imagination - we had SIX doctors admit it was vaccine related. An extreme rarity to even get one doctor to admit to a vaccine adverse reaction, let alone six... We also are one of the "lucky" 2,500 who've received a settlement from the National Vaccine Injury Courts (aka VICP).

I'm not debating this matter. IT IS A PERSONAL CHOICE for each and everyone of us out here! I'm a strong advocate for EDUCATE BEFORE YOU VACCINATE tho'!

Back when my son was injured (before computers/internet/cell phones), I knew enough to question about the live viruses, but not about the additional toxins in the vaccines. Research was done at the libraries and if you lived in a small town, the proper resources may not be available to you. I questioned the live virus aspects, but they made me feel small and insignificant - that my concerns were baseless and should be ignored. They BULLIED me into giving my son those vaccines that have haunted us since May 1988.

If after doing your own research (pros and cons of vaccines AND the diseases you've grown to fear so much!) you are still comfortable with the decision to vaccinate, then by all means, do so. At least you've looked beyond the surface of the "because I said so's" of the doctors who are given incentives and the billions of $$$$ in ads pushed by big pHARMa to convince you.

Most doctors will try to deny adverse reactions to vaccines and claim it's unrelated when your child shows every indication that's what it is, it's a "coincidence" according to them, and that's how they get around by NOT reporting it to VAERS. So while it may be "mandatory" to report an adverse reaction to vaccines, that's the loophole not to and it is used far more frequently than any one would like to believe. However, if you suspect your child or you have had an adverse reaction - could be swelling at the injection site, soreness, illness, fever, etc - YOU can report it to VAERS without having your doctor on board!

If you read labels for your food, you should read the labels for vaccines too. Here's Vaccine Ingredients Listed by Ingredient from the CDC's very own web site. Research each of the ingredients listed for the vaccines. You might be shocked at what you find. Also note that the vaccines that [allegedly] no longer have mercury in them do have "trace amounts" of it remaining in the end product. Why? Because during the course of making the vaccines, they add the mercury in and then [allegedly] remove it. A "trace amount" does not equate to 100% mercury free! And the vaccines that are supposed to be "mercury free" have those trace amounts still in them and have had aluminum used as it's replacement. Not sure that's any better... and then there's the formaldehyde... It's all there on that CDC link. Check it out for yourselves!

Also, please read the vaccine inserts (you are entitled to do so BEFORE you or your child are vaccinated!!) and read the potential risks. For the record, many, many pediatricians offices do NOT hand over the inserts unless you specifically ask for them. While someone here stated the inserts are laminated and posted up on their peds walls, that's the exception rather than the norm. The norm is to keep them away from you UNLESS YOU ASK for them.

Also, every single state in the U.S. have exemptions from vaccines. Only two of them only allow for medical exemptions (MS and WV). All others offer religious and/or personal/philosophical. So if a school tells you they "require" certain vaccines before your child can attend school, it is not "mandated" by law and you do have a choice!! There has NEVER been a double-blind study done on vaccines before like all the other meds on the market. Any of you who think there has been are incorrect. Read vaccine inserts!! Vaccines are a continued experiment taken out on you and your loved ones. When they don't "work" (as evidenced by the whooping cough vaccine when the mass majority coming down with it have been vaccinated), they tell you you'll need yet another booster to "protect" you and your loved ones....

Many are also under the impression the FDA does all the proper safety studies on these. Again, that would be incorrect. The pharmaceutical companies who create these vaccines do all the [alleged] studies and then submit their finding to the FDA for review. Fox + hen house = disaster. The FDA then makes their rulings on the product based upon those [alleged] studies. Notice how many recalls of drugs have been made of late? Yep. Those drugs went through the same "safety" studies as the vaccines.

The man the CDC hired to dispel the claims of Wakefield's findings of vaccine- causes-autism was Poul Thorsen and he's since been indicted on 13 counts of embezzlement from the CDC as well as for filing FRAUDULENT STUDIES - included, but not limited to, vaccines-don't-cause-autism! Danish Scientist Indicted In US Poul Thorsen's study is the one they used to decimate Andrew Wakefield with in the public eye. So for those of you who think that debate is over? Again, it's not.

Look at it this way. With vaccination you might (not likely, but might) end up with a sick kid. Without it you might end up with a dead one. There were no measles vaccines when I was a kid. I got measles that went into pneumonia and I almost died. The doctor who took care of me had lost his son to the very same thing in the days before penicillin. My stepfather was crippled with polio and he suffered with it his whole life. A few years ago my neighbor's baby died of whooping cough. She didn't believe in vaccinations.

Either way you can end up with a permanently damaged or dead child. Pick your poison, I'll take my chances with measles and the like. I got measles from the vaccine as a kid. I lived and didn't have any complications. Cleanliness and good nutrition are your friend. I don't like the idea of injecting known neurotoxins. When someone is healthy their immune system should be able to easily handle most vaccine preventable diseases. Your neighbors child that died of whooping cough probably got it from someone who was vaccinated for it. That strain is much more deadly than the wild strain.

What I don't get is the flu vaccine... why vaccinate against something that only lasts 2 days to a week and is easily not life threatening. I've a bunch of family members that get every vaccine they can. They always get really sick after the flu shot... really sick like worse sick then the flu. And they're always sick with something or other and on antibiotics all the time. They have ear infections all the time foot and mouth I mean the list goes on and on! We don't get sick near as much and I've never had the flu shot. Yes I have had the flu usually once a year or less. I think eating healthy and getting lots of outdoor activity and letting your immune system work for you is better then vaccines. Just my op.

Also my husband comes from a family of 11 they had the whooping cough run through their family twice when he was growing up. His parents decided not to vaccinate after the 5th or 6th child was born. My dh was 3rd. When they had bouts with whooping cough most came down with it vaccinated or not. My MIL said it didn't matter weather they where vaccinated or not they just got sick. No one died! My DH has always been a germ freak... so he wouldn't touch anything or let anyone touch him and he never did get it... he's still a germ freak. But we usually share our colds now

On the subject of vaccines. A handful may get sick from them. Big deal. It is better to have a few who get sick from it then have the all deaths from the diseases themselves. My grandfather's friend committed suicide after his wife got polio and died from it. My grandfather and his friend were doctors, when the polio vaccine first was released. But the friend was skeptical about the vaccine, and had his family skip the vaccine. He could never forgive himself for her death. My grandfather remembered back when he was a medical student, working in a ward completely filled with children on iron lungs, all with polio. And each day some of those kids died, and were replaced by more kids with polio.

My mother got the measles as a child. But the disease wasn't just a few days in bed. The disease caused permanent eye damage from swelling of the ocular nerve. Her vision afterwards never was correctable to 20/20, even with glasses. Guess what? If the vaccination would have been available, this wouldn't have happened. Don't forget that measles also kills.

Anyone who thinks diseases vaccines treat are not a big deal, then don't vaccinate your kids. But if they get sick with a preventable disease, I doubt you'll be able to live with yourself. Thank herd immunity and people who DO vaccinate their children for your kid not getting sick. But, as more people decide not to vaccinate, you lose that herd immunity. Outbreaks of measles have already happened in developed nations due to vaccine paranoia. They've been small, but thus far not severe. One of the biggest issues if if YOUR unvaccinated kid is exposed to an infant before they get all their vaccines. Your sick rugrat can easily infect the infant, who has fewer defenses. The hospital my mother works at recently had some MAJOR issues. Some woman brought in her older child, unvaccinated, who was sick with whooping cough, pertussis. The infant they were visiting was exposed to pertussis, as were many others. I doubt many of you know that death rates because of pertussis in infants is very high.

Wow! My rugrats??? Hmmm just because some people don't agree doesn't mean you should respond offensively. I will never vaccinate for my own reasons and even if I changed my opinion DH is more against it then I. Just so you feel more 'safe' I will most definitely keep my 'rugrats' away from you.

Do you not realize you can DIE from the vaccine too. In the video I posted there is a child that died from shots given at a well baby visit. There is also a teenage girl who got the HPV vaccine because she kept seeing it on MTV commercials and has had multiple strokes, seizures, paralysis, on 40 pills a day that cost her family over $2000 a month after insurance. At the end she decided she wants off the pills and intends to die. She would have been a lot better off with cervical cancer. This is why you have to weigh the risks.

Ummm...I don't want to get my head bitten off....but just as an informative FYI. The actual vaccines (or dead, alive bacteria, virus or proteins or DNA of bacteria/viruses) are not usually (yes, usually the culprit of reaction. The injection itself can cause your body to react. That achy, yucky feeling we get after a Flu shot isn't because they injected the flu virus into you...it's because you are having a reaction the needle..
