You just couldn't wait could you? Lol   Me either! I've checked a few of mine too!

Shhhh my OH will hear you and force me to candle all the eggs. He is so dang excited since he has his own incubator and eggs this round. Dont tell him i told you that either though lmao.

Great!  I have been sitting here wondering when I would peek...pretty certain I will not wait the full 7 days, lol....now that I see others are seeing something, it's going to be twice as hard to keep the lid shut!

I only checked 2 eggs and they were the eggs under my broody. I haven't checked the incubator eggs yet. They've still got a few days as they are darker and harder to see through before I try them.

Well the excitement for him is that he has all store bought eggs in his bator....so its a big experiment....i have 14 store bought eggs too.

I can't see much in the ones I checked(4 or 5 maybe), except for one. I have a question about it. It is a very small bantam pullet egg and it's so small that I don't think the turner is able to turn it much. It has awesome veining, but it looks like it might be stuck to the shell. It doesn't float around at all. I put a small pencil mark on it, so I can look later and see if it has moved, and I changed it's angle in the turner. Has anyone ever had this happen? Should I just lay it flat and hand turn? If it's stuck, is it possible that it can become unstuck?

i've been incubating cochin frizzle eggs and i get two varieties a brown which is the size of my bantams eggs

i also have mille fleur D'uccle egs which are smaller then the bantam

Then the cochin frizzle eggs that are white are smaller then even the mille fleur, they are so tiny i laughed when i saw them. If you have ever seen button quail eggs it is like maybe two of those. Perhaps 2in X 1in maybe a tad smaller.

EDIT: Opps and i ment to say they seem to turn fine in the auto-turner, i have the cup style with the racks. Your turners are different but your small eggs are roughly twice the size of the frizzle ones i had.

Ah, now there's an idea, maybe the farm eggs sold at my butcher's shop are fertile and I could throw some of those in my empty bator....hmmmmm! I could at least crack a few and see if they have a bullseye. With Snowmaggedon out there, I will have to wait for DH to get out of work and stop on his way home, though. That's FOUR hours away, ugh.

OK that makes me feel better. Did you look at the pic I posted on the thread or the one I PM'd you? The tiny eggs aren't pictured on the thread one. But do appear in the PM pic I sent. There are just 2.

All the prizes are just enabling me to hatch more eggs! LOL

I won't be candling until Saturday night. Last batch I broke an egg when candling (it was a quitter anyway), so the less I handle them the better.

The one you sent for the contest.

The frizzle cochin and the mille fleur are both smaller then those.
