Value of young laying hens

Hello everyone.

I have a half dozen 7 month old birds that I'd like to sell. 3 BR's and 3 RIR's, but I'm just not sure what a fair asking price would be. I'm sure I'd sell them easily enough ( I live in a rural farming area ) but I don't want to just give them away since I have taken the time and effort to raise them to this point. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi fellow Upstate NYer! Around me, a fair price for POL pullets like yours is $15-$20 per bird. If you haven't, come check out the NY Chicken Lover thread. We are all getting together on May 17th and perhaps you could find a new home for your birds there.
