Vamp's hatching crew! who cares what day u r on!Hatch with us!

My 13 started about 3pm and all were out by 8pm the next day. Once one hatched it will go around to the others and peep at them and tell them to come out. Seriously. It's really cool.

So do you think lining up eggs to reload my bator on Sunday (day 21 will be official on Friday at 11:00 a.m.) would be pushing it? Ughhhh! I hate working around the weekend and P.O. deliveries...

Sometimes thhey hatch early or sometimes late. Mine hatched on day 19. Sunday may be pushing it. As long as they are on time you'll be fine. Or as long as the eggs are new enough to sit a couple days if they have to then you'd probably be ok. See if you can borrow a bator for a day or two if need be.

And make sure you dont have any accidental Duck eggs.

Thanks! Everyone I am getting them from is suppose to be giving me fresh eggs (just gathered) for this reason. I really need to get the bator loaded again on Sunday, so I will have some newly hatched chicks to take the chicken swap meet on the 28th! That's why I'm pushing it!

I guess we'll see what happens.

The other part of me just hopes and prays that the chicks I'm working on right now will all be okay. I just want the moon, can you tell?!?!

Well I candled last night again, in prepartion for expected silkie eggs today.

My frizzle eggs were rather a bust (no fault of whom I got them from). I had 8... 1 was infertile. 2 had bacterial rings (which means they started and stopped, doesnt it??), 3 were scrambled by the P.O. 2 have babies in them!

My silkie eggs still have 9 happy little babies growing.. the tenth egg appeared infertile.

Marans... hard to tell still. I definitely saw movement in 3 of 11, but the rest were just toooo dark for me to tell for sure.

Coming today (I hope) 6 Buff Silkies.

I am on day 8. 33 eggs all together, d'anvers, rir, bramas, wyondottes, and polish. all bantems except the polish. This is my 2nd hatch, last hatch was not good. 3/30. I think it was the humidity. I had to zip the last one out, he made his pip and then stopped I waited 23 hours and then helped him out. I found zipping directions under the read first section here in the forum.

2 teens, 2 persians, 1 manx, 1 dog, 4 RIR, 2 Bramas, 1 Silkie, and 3 chicks.

Gumps_ I hope it works out timing wise for you!

yote-Good luck getting those silkies today!

barnyard_ welcome to our hatch crew!

I have made it to day 10 whoo!

I'm on day 10 today. I candled this morning and I still just don't know what I'm looking at. There were a couple that looked like blood rings, and a couple that looked clear. The rest mainly looked dark, so I'm assuming they are developing okay.

My eggs are difficult to see because I am inexperienced and they are Ameraucana and Marans.

Right now I have 15 Blue/Splash Ameraucanas and 13 Cuckoo Marans.

I going to candle at 14 days - Friday. I haven't thrown any out yet, except one with a crack in it. I worry about rotten eggs in the bator, but just don't want to throw away yet.
