Vancouver island newbie flock selection, hatchery/breeder advice

Hello everyone!
This is a great site and is full of info.
After much debate we are taking the plunge and getting chickens.
I think it'll be a flock of three. A Ameraucana, a bared rock and a speckled sussex; if we can find them...
Anyone thinking we a making a mistake with this grouping? Any locals on Vancouver Island have advice on breeders/hatcheries that we can use with such a small group of chicks? Do to bylaws we cant have roosters, so straight run isn't a option. Since this is our first attempt, I'm leaning towards pullets, but this may not be an option in this area.
We'll happily take any advice?!

Well you can try and check out some poultry shows. Many of the shows have bantams for sale, but you can talk to some breeders that might be willing to sell you some large foul.
