She has smelly yellow liquid poops. Her butt is extremely red and “swollen”.
I’ll send photos later as she is in the pin right now by herself as I don’t have a separate place to quarantine her.

I've trimmed the butt feathers

in addition to washing with soap I have patted a little betadine and then Applied the anti fungal cream.

I’ve mixed mash with yogurt and wheat germ. She isn’t eating much. And today I was able to give her a little ACV water through a syringe which worked.

why not apply an antibiotic ointment?

Is she laying eggs?

If it's Vent Gleet - that is generally a yeast/fungal infection...an anti-fungal cream/treatment is needed.

Antibiotic ointment is generally used to treat bacterial infection.

Can you please post some photos of the hen and her vent?
What symptoms of Vent Gleet are you seeing?

I would continue to apply the anti-fungal cream if that's what you have been doing.
Make sure her crop is empty first thing in the morning before she eats/drinks.
Keep water stations cleaned.

Not sure about Epsom Salts being syringed into her - that's usually a "remedy" for crop issues.

You ask about Nu Stock and how much to give...It is meant to be applied Topically - not given orally, so if that's something you wish to use, apply a small amount to the reddened skin.

Is she laying eggs?

If it's Vent Gleet - that is generally a yeast/fungal infection...an anti-fungal cream/treatment is needed.

No she hasn’t laid an egg in over a week and when she tries to poop she makes an awful hurting sound ;~(

Your hen is prolapsing, likely she does not have Vent Gleet.

Feel inside the vent for an egg.
The swelling of the abdomen may be from a reproductive problem. The yellow is urates and/or egg matter. Swelling can also be from fluid due to reproductive issues.

If that tissue is staying exposed keep it moist with coconut oil, honey, anti-inflammatory cream or even use the anti-fungal cream if that's all you have.

IF she is not lethargic, then give her a soak in a warm epsom salts bath may help soothe her, but you need to make sure an egg is not stuck inside (feel about 1-2" inside the vent).

If she will not drink water with the ACV in it, then don't add it - she needs to be drinking and staying hydrated. Give her plain fresh water to get her drinking.

Oh no. I read the suggested article and it sounds far worse than vent gleet. I lost one of my very first hens to a reproductive problem and had even less of an idea of what I was doing then.

I stopped putting ACV in the water today since she wasn’t drinking. I’ll start treatment tomorrow morning. Thank you.

Oh no. I read the suggested article and it sounds far worse than vent gleet. I lost one of my very first hens to a reproductive problem and had even less of an idea of what I was doing then.

I would get her to tonight if at all possible. See if that tissue is exposed and get some oil on it.
Since the tissue is red, the other hens may pick at it and can damage her or even pull on that.

Has she ever had any problems with laying eggs? A stuck egg and/or swelling to the point where waste is being blocked they can go downhill pretty fast.

I understand! Keep us posted on how it goes today. Hopefully she's in better shape.

A lot of times with swelling like that a hen has quite a bit wrong and sadly, they can get worse. I've had a few that did recover for a while, but if it's a reproductive problem that I suspect at some point they start to decline again. It's very frustrating.
The main thing is if that tissue (prolapse) is exposed, keep it moist with some type of ointment/oil you don't want it to dry out then you have more problems. Encourage her to drink. Wet soupy food is always a good idea if that's possible.

Wyorp Rock. I’ve bathed her in epsom salt, felt in her vent and cannot feel anything. she is sittin in my sink. I’m guessing there is nothing more I can do other than dress her vent.
