We had neighbors, 1/2 mile away, who had guineas. The noise was amazingly awful, and I never plan to have any. Ever. Likewise peafowl...

and they get louder and louder.I cannot wait to butcher my dual purpose chickens in March.I was going to get about 25 fry pan bargain recently, plus some ordered hens. Normally of the 25 fp I might get 3-4 hens by mistake they are like a bonus "whoo-hoo" since it would be like getting hens for the rooster price of .68 a chick, so recently when I made my order, of 25 I found out for just 7 dollars more I could get another 25 roosters. So that is what I did. I got my 50, +meal maker and 2 extra fry pans and the hens I ordered. (about 4.) The whole thing only cost me about 46 dollars. They are about 12 weeks old now. I processed the roosters as they showed signs of rooster- tall comb. This time of the 52, fry pans they were all roosters. Yeh them, I guess. I am down to the last 3 puny roosters, and my 4 ordered hens.
Rabbit is a bit bland, in Europe its kinda treated as chicken here. Cook it right though, and it can be amazing, picks up marinades/bastes really well.ive never had rabbit i wonder what it taste like

They're loud chickens! My two have a competition on who has the loudest crow. I smirk because it's payback for the dogs I've heard for 6+ years barking nonstop! Outdoor dogs... That's another topic I don't like talking about...My BJG will crow at 2300, midnight, whenever he fancies really.
