Venting -- Postal Service lost my chicks

Here they are! 7 in all. 3 are dorkings (all male, so of course the most healthy and lively looking of the lot); 2 are blue orpingtons, one of which was very cold and listless when I pulled out her; the yellow one is a white maran, and the dark brown is a partridge rock. The rock looks very lively too.

I have them nestled in a heating pad in a room that 87 degrees now and will rise of over 90 in an hour. All have been given ND, and I hope they all pull through.

They were sitting in an air-conditioned room at the local post office this morning, and all I know is that they arrived some time after 4 p.m. when the post office shut down. The only one to yell at was the local Post Master, who has been the only one helpful in this entire process, so I didn't yell at him, lol.

YIPPEE! So happy to hear they arrived and that they are ALIVE too! The USPS should be ashamed of themselves and they way they have treated these chicks but of course no one but your local postmaster seems to care. SIGH! Makes me think twice about ever ordering chicks online that is for sure.

All of them except for the one orpington look pretty good right now. I've given her Nutri-Drench and dipped her beak in the water. She is warm to the touch now, but has no interest in food.

Is there anything else I can do for her? I was thinking of giving her some water sweetened with honey? How much ND is too much?

So glad they made it and you were able to revive all of them! Feeling nervous about my MPC order for August now... But I am in So Cal, so maybe a better pathway here. At least I am hoping they don't send them through that awful distribution center! Going out to get nutri drench now, just in case... They are really good looking chicks, though, so cute! Happy brooding!:jumpy:jumpy:jumpy:jumpy:jumpy:jumpy:jumpy

I gave the lot of them a scrambled egg which everyone by the one orpington was excited about. I dripped some honey-water long the orpington's beak and tried to entice her to eat, but no luck. The good news is that the other 6 look really good.

They are all supposed to go under the broody hen tonight. I'm a bit worried about the one, but maybe a momma hen can give her something I can't. I don't want to brood her separately, and I don't feel I can wait any longer than tonight, as the chicks are already over 3 days old, thanks to USPS.
