Venting -- Postal Service lost my chicks

Thanks everyone for your support. Woke up this morning thinking about these chicks. No updates on the USPS tracking system. Post office opens at 9. I'm going to show up and wait at 8:30, hoping to catch the truck from the Dist. Center actually making the delivery, praying that the chicks on it, and asking more questions. If they aren't on there, it's pretty much a given they are goners, as this is day 3. I feel so sick about the whole thing.

I found a feed store with baby chicks expected in this Friday that is 3 hours away. I will make the 6 hour round trip to pick them up. Through no fault of MPC, I will not be using them in the future, as I don't trust the distribution center they must travel through to get to me. I will make sure MPC understands the situation exactly. Maybe they can exert more pressure on the USPS, then I can.

With so many other things missing ... somebody five fingered some free chicks.
Tell your local paper - and be sure to send them any documentation that shows other things have disappeared with no repercussions. Some intern would LOVE to have a chance to expose Big Brother. At the very least, it wold make a VERY interesting human interest story.

I hate the thought that someone just stole them! I realize postal workers can be careless (I'm being kind with that one, huh? lol), but their hiring process is very stringent, and in my area, they pay pretty well. I've had several friends who worked for the postal system. So I'd like to think that "most" are honest and trustworthy and wouldn't just steal someone's belongings. I hope they were carelessly misplaced or mis-routed. Benefit of the doubt.

Should be about time for an update!! East coast is brutal when waiting for morning on the west coast!
