Very poorly 6 month amber white please help!

yes, i agree Kathy i dont think it looks good...she is still really weak...i thought she would be picking up a bit and i think id even say deteriorating. she's scratching her comb, i've treated this with the leg mite stuff and can't see anything. When she scratches it she loses her balance. the kaytee food hasnt come today despite me paying for courier..so i've continued with the chick crumbs and dirolyte stuff. she hasn't eaten anything additional. I'm going to see how she goes tomorrow.
if she continues to deteriorate i intend to end it myself as it would cause stress taking her to the vets. i've not done this before and really don't relish it (im veggie), but firmly believe that you do what's best for the animal. from what i've read i would be placing something over her head to keep her calm, holding her body between my legs firmly and pulling up firmly on the neck and twisting. could someone please confirm that i have got this right? i really really hope it doesn't come to this but i want to be prepared if it does i really appreciate you guys being in contact, i feel so sad about this..and guilty :(.

I couldn't put a chicken out myself so no help on that. I hope she improves, darn it the kaytee didn't arrive. I was lucky to find it local. It's good to have on hand though.

schnebbles - i know what you mean, i'm crying at the mere thought :(... i really wanted to get her better and if she was staying the same i wouldn't even contemplate it...as long as an animal is happy regardless of the amount of time they take up i'm cool with that... but when they start to suffer it just doesn't feel right. i'm trying to think that tomorrow may be different, she is toasty toasty warm (the studio is warmer than my house!), i've put a mirror up for her so she doesn't think she's on her own, she has the radio on until bedtime and we are spending approx 3 1/2 hours with her a day, as well as check up visits. i'm definitely going to get myself a kit sorted out 'for next time'...and i've learnt how to tube feed, which i never thought i'd do...i just get attached to animals so darn quick. your comments are lovely and i really do appreciate them, thank you :)
