I think you might as well pick a spot you want to live and go with it....without NAIS being a factor. I can't believe that they'll concern themselves with all the small backyard flocks anytime in the future. Our cowherd is another thing entirely tho. They've said that at some point in time we won't be able to sell our calves at the sale barn without one of their button tags in their ear.

* Barn sales, fairs, farmer's markets, roadside farm stands, co-ops, jr. programs like FFA and 4-H, auctions, even college student projects. I've only be poking around a few hours in a couple days. Looks like they've been making lists-- 'directories' for a decade. ED: I wouldn't have said anything if I didn't care, you know. But, I'm a hillbilly at heart and I love you guys-- just thought a little "watchman on the walls" shout-out was important.
