Hello everyone!
Had anyone ever seen this before?
We have chickens in our yard that lay blue eggs, chickens that lay light brown eggs, and chickens that lay dark brown eggs. We are very happy with the amount of eggs that we get from them!
Today when I went to get the eggs from the yard I noticed an egg that had "two" shells, meaning that the yolk was encased in two separate shells (happens to several of our chickens when they first start laying eggs so I wasn't worried)
But then I looked closer and the eggs were two different colors! I peeled one side of the egg for a better view, the egg was originally very "mucus-y" in-between the two shells.
I have attached the egg in the photos.
Can one chicken lay different colored eggs? Please let me know! I've never seen this before!
