very weak day-old duckling, please help.

The weak duckling has been getting stronger and stronger. It is even toddling around like any other healthy day-old duckling. We have name it "Runt" since it is so much smaller than its siblings. Also the duckling from the discolored egg did not make it. It was a valiant effort on the duckling's part, but died a short while after hatch.

There is good news the last egg hatched and there is now a total of three new ducklings in the flock. The third duckling is a chunk too, bigger than the others. However, while drying and fluffing the inner eye lids dried out. Never had this happen before. I am doing some research online and would love any advice.

Veterycin spray would be good because you just spray it no touching, you could probably use a tiny dab of neo around the eyes too. Nothing with pain relief in it.

Update: the weak duckling died the other day. It seemed to be doing better and better, but I checked on it one morning and it's leg was broken and twisted behind it. I bandaged and secured the leg. 48 hours later it had passed.
The duckling with the dry eyelids developed an eye infection. Large amounts of puss were coming out of the eyes every few hours. I thought the duckling would certinately lose it's eye sight. However, after three days of constant cleaning and ointment they eyes were clear and open. The duckling has recently been given the name Weeble (like the children's toy) because it wobbles quite a bit (probably due to not being able to see when first hatched). It seems to be developing normally now, except the bill seems a bit small for it's head, otherwise completely healthy.
The two remaining ducklings (Weeble and Curly(hatched with curled tail feathers)) are growing big and strong.

my duckling is doing the same as your weak one and i have been dripping watery food in his mouth. all he wants to do is sleep and lay how he was inside the egg. he was an assisted hatch as he couldn't break the shell alone. what do i do??

Give him time. Assisted hatches can be because the duckling is just not right. Do you think you assisted too early? Is the yolk sack absorbed?

Could you post a video or picture of the duckling?

i may have too early. he was one of the last ones out so i thought it would have been okay, buti saw he wasnt done so i left him in his egg to finish for a bit. he kicked himself out before he was done, so i let him dry out and hoped for the best. he does a lot of sleeping as was acting like a newborn until this morning, after the last one to hatch after him was fluffed up and running around
