This is nuts.

I volunteer at my local humane society's monthly Spay/Neuter Clinics. I'm not even being paid for it, and I know that there is a very real risk that I could be bitten - in fact, I've seen one of the shelter staff members get a very nasty cat bite during one of the clinics - but none of us felt that it had to be reported or documented. Most of these animals are very sweet and don't have a mean, "vicious" bone in their bodies, but then they're scared and restrained or coming out of anesthesia, they aren't themselves, and biting is a defensive reflex that the animals don't always have full control over.

i've been to vet offices where they have posted signs saying "let us restrain your dog" b/c its their liability if your dog bites YOU! wonder how that works in this situation.

for the record, i generally dont let anyone restrain my pets but me. sure they can have the back half but i always tell them that i'll take "the pointy end."

i'm kinda wondering tho if the owners were 'problem patients' and the dog had a history of being out of control? someone said earlier that some owners think its cute when their little dogs are all bitey and barky... i dont think this is funny either and no matter what the size, you should have control of your dog.

whatever the facts are... very very nutty.

Ridiculous thing and the Vet-tech, Hospital and attorneys should be shamed and if you ask me flogged for animal cruelty. I have been a Vet-tech for 20+ years and scratches and vites come along with the territory this is repulsive And the Hospital should be boycotted and the vettech flogged

I've done treatments on horses, cats and dogs and chickens as a pre-vet in college and it is part of the territory that you WILL get kicked, bitten, stomped, run over, pecked, scratched and attacked. I would not sue the owners for it because I should have been more careful or stupid to let my guard down thinking it is such a gentle animal...wham! I ended up getting hurt.

With that owner saying that the dog cries when it does not have a blanket, that dog controls the household......ugh! I would tell that dog, YOU DOG, ME HUMAN! I got higher ranking hierachy than you. So SIT!

Interesting that the Owner said the tech was too close with the scissors in the one interview and then in this one she says she didn't see it happen.

"At some point while in the animal hospital lobby Spork bit the vet tech in the face. Walker didn't actually see it happen."
