Violet Crumbles come from Heaven!

Errrrr.... I'm not a fan of toffee either... but from the recipe Debi posted, thats what it is I suppose, though I wouldn't have guessed.. Baking soda is added to the process to make it fluffen up.
The inside looks like honey-comb, full of air.. and it tastes honey-ish to me. You know those candies, Whoppers? It's kind of like the inside of those.. the way its fluffy/crunchy, and then just melts in your mouth. Thats my favorite part.. the melting. Then covered with yummy chocolate.
Can't believe you've never seen them! When we visited Oz.. they were all over the place. Just look for the purple wrapper!

I love things that melt. Honeycomb isn't too bad, although it's not very high on my list of favourite foods. I shall have to look out for it in the future! Maybe give the shelves at Woolies a bit of a scour

Hehe! Just don't get too much dust while you're at it! They pay people to do that!

JK! Couldn't help myself... as usual!

Are there any IGA stores near you? Sometimes they stock Dr pepper and reeces pieces, i;ve seen them at the local one near me

or you could talk to them about getting some in?

I have an IGA just up the road from my place...two weeks ago they had empty shelves everywhere..I meant to take some photos but didnt get around to it. The whole soft drink aisle was empty except for two bottles of ginger beer and one of soda water. I WISH they still did. last time I saw Dr Pepper in a supermarket here was ten years ago.

We have a Costco here in Melbourne - So I can get regular Dr Pepper there. Yesterday I bought.... 24 cans Dr Pepper 12 Cans Dr Pepper Cherry 12 Cans Mountain Dew Voltage 4 packs Reeces Pieces 4 twinkies a pack of Whoppers ( peanut coated malt balls) a packet of macaroni cheese and two packs of Parade panburger partner. I got a handfull of change back from $100

I have sent a PM... and will add the items to my weekly shopping list. Oh...and I will add a pack of Tim Tams for you too. They come in packs of 11 so not too sure how you will " share " them with that number

I've got to go to buy lunch soon, so I might pop in to Woolies to have a look around. No IGAs near where I am.
