I was going to, but never got around to it.I'm really surprised nobody has mentioned parthenogenesis to the OP. The egg could well be self-fertile, but the probability of it developing into an actual chick are really low. Please read up on this.

Even if you have never had a rooster, if you have heard a rooster from your property there's a really good chance he's the baby daddy!It looks like it's fertile, but you have to really look for the ring. Can we have a pic that's doesn't have the light glare on it? Have you ever had roosters?
