The OP's first picture has alot of glare, the second I don't see no "bulls eye" ... That white spot does get mistaken as fertile. OP's Buff is a pullet/hen for sure. I have a BO pullet that has a comb/wattle that had me thinking she was a he as well as her actions
but she started laying
BT's the one on the far right, this was taken early Oct, her comb/wattle has gotten bigger

really had me going cause she alerts and is the nosiest but once I saw that egg
