Hey Virginia folks, I have three pullets (one week old) that I need to find a home for. (Leghorns and Red-sex link). Added a few to my current flock but had to buy 6 when I needed only three. I'm in Leesburg. Anyone interested?

I agree that a look at other states would be helpful. Growing up in WI, I saw many changes to what type of tag could be purchased (they are much more strict there). My first year I could shoot a buck or a doe-- a privilege given to first time hunters just out of hunter's safety class. The next few years it was buck only unless you applied and were chosen for an either-or tag. Bonus doe tags were issued if the deer count allowed extras to be taken in your area, and even then you had to pay extra. That evolved into Earn a Buck where shooting a doe was required before you could shoot a buck. Some years there were even early T-Zone seasons where doe only could be taken with special permit. All of these tag options went county by county or zone by zone and were dependent on deer population and harvest. I am sure things are different now, I have been down here for almost 10 years now.other states have worked on things that I think would be better practices...
they need to leave the bucks alone so the strongest and most able bucks DO continue the breeding, but there's a vaccine they can give does that basically causes an immune response to the semen, so they don't get pregnant.
oh I agree with hunting. I am also for hunting with hounds within reason. when you finish your hunt, pick up your dogs. don't leave them for days. keep them off my land and away from my chickens and you can keep your hounds. if they are up here chasing and killing my chickens then you will never see your hound again. sunday hunting? I don't like it. another reason for people to stay out of church. I think it should be after 1:00 pm because I don't want to hear gunshots on sunday morning. the solution is declaring the whitetail deer a nuisance species and have open season until the population gets down to more manageable levels. I only take one a year but am sure others would kill as many as they could.
I love Martha! Remind me, she is a game hen, right?
Yes, a Hatch American Gamefowl, crossed with another American Game.I love Martha! Remind me, she is a game hen, right?
Cuba,
I believe the sunday hunting rules are for private property only and nowhere near a church. Folks that aren't going to church don't go to church. I don't think hunting enters into it one way or another.
if you're looking for blrw, message DMRippy. she's in TN and said she's hatching a bunch... her stock is from Foley mostly.
I'd be willing to go in on shipping a batch, but can't afford to ship 10-15 chicks plus shipping. I only need 2-3 pullets.
