Do you have to do anything to go/sell? I might just want to give away roosters. Can you do that? LOL

Sure can, as long as the birds are healthy. If I were you I'd put a price of at least $3/each on them to start. I sold 6 roosters (2 barnyard mix standards at $3/ea and 4 Silkies at $5/ea) last weekend almost as soon as I got to the swap in Fork Union. People are excited about the first swaps of the year and tend to be willing to buy just about anything!

I believe there's a listing on craigs list for the swap in Fredericksburg but I haven't looked there so I can't swear to it. Take a look-see and see if there is. I've never gone to a swap much less taken anything and I'm not sure if you need to reserve a spot or not.

I just got back from the swap in Charlottesville.
I told my husband we're just "going to look."
Of course, I had my little box in the trunk "just in case."

We did real good!

Only came home with four Polish chickies.
And I wasn't the one who saw them first.

My husband called me over and said, "hey honey, take a look at these."

SOLD!

Don't forget to quarantine any birds bought from a poultry swap or even private breeder for 30 days at least. Not to be a kill joy, we brought home a very nasty respiratory disease from a swap last Fall. Killed several of our birds before it slowed down. I just hate to see anyone else go through that pain and heartache. Be careful caring for the new ones and always do them last when doing your chicken chores. it will help you keep from spreading anything. Good luck!
