Viva Las Vegas!

Juneytunes, I have another friend on "our" side of town, she and I actually just ordered some chicks that arrived yesterday and today so we will have some new ones for our spring flock! I have had chickens most of my life, I really enjoy a small (10-20) flock. I LOVE the roosters, my neighbors all have horses so no one complains about my one rooster, but with only two full sized hens for my one rooster, my poor hens are just being pestered too much! We do have a few extras!

Hello all, I'm new to the BYC forum. I live on the south side of town and just ordered the chicks with Tiff in NV. I currently have 4 standard hens and 2 bantams. Our new chicks just arrives yesterday and today!! Not only did all survive but they shipped extras as well. So if anyone in town is looking for the following breeds, please let myself or Tiff in NV know:

Rhode Island Red
Cuckoo Maren
Araucana

My family had chickens in Canada and now I am really enjoying having my own. I've had my current flock for over a year and now I've succumbed to chicken math.

$5 each which covers cost of chick, shipping, meds, and feed. Hatchery guaranteed pullet. We had someone buy 4 chicks today.

I dont have a set up for chicks that young. I am looking for older pullets about 3 mo old that can integrate with my 3.5 mo old pullets I have now.

Barb I will message you if I hear of any younger pullets, I've had bad luck with people not being truthful with me when buying full grown stock which is why I prefer to raise my own, so be cautious! No way to know if a hen is 6 months or 6 years (that I know of anyway!)

I completely get that as my two older hens now have stopped laying. Who knows how old they are really. I just dont have the set up for really young chicks. Ive been looking at Chickens Galore in CA. They have speckled sussex but I have to drive 4 hours one way as they do not ship.

.

Barb
