Waiting around - AKA Whats new in your pen or incubator??

well lets see..ah ,Ive been busy tryn to set everything up.I got JG's in 1 pen . got RIR and r.ed star in another tryn to get PBR set up in another. got 6 SS chicks and 5 red star chicks in the brooder. there about 3 weeks old now. got WJG"S in the incubator. still workn on the fence for the run.and to top it off ,I got 25 chicks ordered from mcmurrays that are to be here the first week of March. ther BO,SLW,JG,PBR. so its a rush to the finish line tryn to get it all done in between the rain showers witch seems to be about every other day or so.

My sizzle had her first egg yesterday

She was trying to incubate it as she was sitting on it and was turning it with her legs when I went out to close the coop!

I'm also getting an incubator soon and plan on hatching some polish eggs. = D

Maybe your frizzle will do the work for you! I didn't think they were very broody, but I don't really know much about them.

I've ordered from McMurrey a few times, and I"ve always been happy. I've bought ducks and chickens from them. Most hatcherys that are that book aer pretty good.

I want more turkeys!

I've been happy with McMurray as well. I placed an order with them a few weeks ago for 15 Speckled Sussex, 5 Mille Fleur d'Uccles, and 6 Anconas (for a friend), but they won't come until May!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Let the twitching commence.

I also have 18 eggs in the incubator, but it's my first time hatching with one so hopefully I'll get something beginning of March.

That sounds pretty cool. Baby chicks?? My mom thought the top hats were fun. she always got them with her chicks-sent free as a thank you.

I'm looking for my postal carrier to bring my pure bred Americauna hatching eggs tomorrow. I borrowed my dad's incubator & added an egg turner that I got for Valentine's Day. lol I could not be happier! The temperature is stable and ready to receive. This will be my first solo hatch. It was quite a long time ago when I hatched quail with daddy.
