One last question if you don't mind, sorry! Did you pay extra to for Metzer to give you a tracking number? Because the email they sent me way back when I ordered them stated that I will not hear from them unless something goes wrong with the ducks before delivery.. I just recently read on the website that you can pay extra for a tracking number but I did not know that when I was ordering unfortunately..

To jump in and give my two cents; I ordered from a different hatchery and was given a tracking number but it wasn’t very useful. For example it just said “your package is in transit to next location” for the entire day and didnt give any other info besides that until AFTER I picked the babies up. THEN it finally updated and said “package available for pick-up”. The post office called me long before that status ever changed. Never even told me it made it to the main distribution center this morning. HA! USPS notifications are way behind and seriously lacking, so you aren’t missing much lol. I wouldn’t fret! The tracking might stress you out more!

And yes, I think the day my partner finally caved and said we could get ducks, I went certifiably insane ... They haven't even hatched yet!

Hey!!! Just a heads up. You might have already taken the bands off there legs, but if not make sure you do. I got buffs from metzer and love them. Mine are in there "teen" years so they are messy, dirty, and growing in feathers. Enjoy the little fluff balls while you can.

No, I did not remember paying anything extra for a tracking number. They did tell me I wouldn’t hear from them directly unless there was a problem. Although I would receive an email with confirmation number when the babies are actually shipped. They also said that you don’t get much info with the tracking but at least it’s something. It will all be stated in that email.
It’s a freaking crazy stressful time waiting for them to arrive and I think the ride home from the post office was even WORSE! I only live about 10 minutes away but I couldn’t drive fast enough. I never thought I’d get home. LOL

They came over and laid in my hand after running around like crazy ducks.

They have two different colored beaks so it’s easier to tell them apart.

OMG!!! They are so sweet. Last night they started crying for me. I laid on the floor with them and they snuggled into my neck and fell asleep. Best night ever!!!
