Waiting on Ideal...

Here are some more pics of my cuties in their new brooder. I didn't want you guys to think they were still crammed into the Rubbermade tote. I made the brooder to fit into the area between the dryer and the wall, so it's still not as large as I wanted. Hubby suggested I build it larger, and keep it in the garage. What, I'm supposed to LIVE in the garage for the next couple of months? Besides, I can always build another one later!

Waiting on my fiurth shipment from Ideal.
They do not call, but ship when they say they will. Get your local post office on board and call them first thing in th emorning. I live in washington and have recieved them next morning. No sign of fatige or wear.

The Black Broilers are 2.5 weeks old now, with the smallest one surpasing the size of the largest White Rock pullet I ordered at the same time.

They are very lively birds and still pack away the food.

My Pekin ducks are all butchered so now I get my greenhouse back.

Currently we are up to 41 rabbits, 25 RIR pullets, 5 WR pullets, 10 BO pullets, 12 BE pullets, and 30 BB, AND 11 laying ducks, and some hens slowly making their way into the soup pot.

Fifty four more chicks are coming in May.

lauralou, I have the same waterer! I think that you mystery chick is a EE. It looks like my EEs.

I think they are EE's too. The darker one has a puffy face, and they both have greenish legs. We just love them! They are so friendly. We've already named them - Daisy and Maybelline.

My order of 38 chicks shipped out yesterday, with no call or email. I wasn't really expecting one.

Cant wait till tommarrow morning!

My Ideal poultry doesnt even hatch until May 1st. This will be my first time raising chickens and I can't wait to get them.

I got a call from the store I bought my chicks from and I thought they were telling me that they had come in early!! But, no, they said they had a problem with their incubator and all their gold laced wydottes died...

They wanted to know if I wanted red sex link...I guess so...

I am waiting on Ideal to ship me 12 Dominiques that I ordered in January. They are supposed to be shipped on March 31st. I hope they come. I live close to Ideal, so I should get them the next day... April Fool's Day. I hope I don't get fooled.

I was supposed to get them on the 3/13, but they emailed me on 3/6 to tell me I wouldn't get them until 3/31. I haven't heard anything yet, so I guess I will look for a charge on our account.
