"Genba," Moondrop began, "there was something pulling me into the forest. I followed the feeling, and it lead me to a clearing. I didn't want to go exploring by myself because it might be an ambush, and I would want to warn the pack. So I was wondering if you would go with me, since Terra and the others are still asleep."

"Sure I'll go and did you notice Hougen is different today" said Genba

 

[Bluebee]

Moondrop stared at the entrance of the den. "Yeah, I did," she said after a thought. "C'mon," she said to Genba.

 

[Bluebee]

Moondrop entered the forest. "Keep low and stay alert," she whispered to him.

 

[Wintent]

Winter gave a small yawn and looked up at Koa and smiled tiredly.

 

[Bluebee]

Off she went, arctic white belly touching the soft snow that muffled her pawsteps, night black top weaving through the trees. The white tip of her tail was barely visible against the snow, and so were her two front paws. Her icy eyes skimmed the trees for danger, nose working furiously for a unknown scent.

 

[Bluebee]

Koa smiled back. Her one eye was open all the way, but she couldn't seem to get the other one facing the wall of the den open. She her "donkey face" at Winter.

"Coming?" Moondrop whispered to Genba.

 

[Bluebee]

Koa tried to get up. Her torn leg failed. She lay back down, frustrated.
