Wanna Play Guess the breed?

I just adopted this fella, and I do know what he is.

But wondering if anyone else knows. I'll give more info on him in a bit.

He also needs a new name! I hate his old one.

We like unusual names. Was thinking Bosch and Strupy. Hubby is German and suggest Strupy cause of his hair. But I am not set on them. They just don't feel like HIS name. KWIM?

Yes he is a Pointing Griffon.

The lady I got him from is trying to find out where her son got him from. He went searching for an unusual dog to one-up his exwife.

He left the dog crated all day and then got mad at the dog for being hyper.
He is almost 11 months old. Some training but needs a lot of proofing. Very well mannered around people and other dogs.
He is interested in the birds. But he is a bird hunting dog. So we will have to work on leaving them alone and tuning his nose to something else. He has never been around birds before.

But a name...

I like the name Bosch, it really kinda suits him. Oh, can I have him?

He is awesome. I've had hounds and with a training he might be fine with the birds, but I would watch him closely. He is beautiful.
