I didn't get mine in until the 3:30 on the 24th but I couldn't wait either. I candled 4 or 5, okay maybe more like 6 or7 of the 35 and I SAW VEINING! WOO HOO! Will wait to truly candle until day 8 or so. I'm so excited. I was afraid that with it being my first hatch I would have messed things up from the start. But so far so good.

I candled Mine last night 36 out of 37 eggs showed VEINS !!!! Woo Hoo Babies on the way...

I candled tonight, and one batch of egg, I didn't candle all, but what I did were developing. The other batch, all are developing except for one questionable, it at least started, but I'm leaving it, who knows. So I'm happy. BTW, all but one were blue eggs, so not the easiest to candle anyways.

I put some (7) in tonight at 6:00 PM EST. I'm figuring on a hatch date around June 21st, counting today as day #0

Hey Guys,

Candled this morning (or was it last night??)and saw veining and a few dark spots that were moving around!! Very exciting!! Then for whatever reason temps went to 100.6 and humidity went up to 60%. Here in SW Louisiana you never know what humidity (usually very high at this time of year) is gonna be like. It's been kind of dry for the last few days and I guess it must be up a little although it wasn't a bad hair day so I don't know what happened. As of about 30 minutes ago, temps were still at about 100.2 (too hot I think for a hovabator with circulated air) but humidity is down to 44%. If ya'll get a chance, please check out the family forum and view my post there. I'd really appreciate it!! Take care and good night everyone!!!

I think your chicks will still be fine hovering around 100-101 occasionally. Mine have gotten that hot and they are all still developing!

I thought they were no good. My hen hid in the hay trailer with 6 eggs. Something got in and ate 2, and she stopped sitting. So I put the rest under a broody in the coop. And egg picker got one, so I grabbed them and put them in the incubator, knowing that she started sitting on the same day I put those in the bator. Convenient. So the odds were against those three. I am very happy to have one start to develope.
All but one of the BCM are, all the EE are, and All but two of the SS are developing.

Its day 11 here.
Has anyone else candled theirs?

I set mine on the 23rd of may 10:30 am...
I have 8 black copper marans my hens started laying...
3 EE's and 2 unknow that someone was nice enough to send me in the mail...

hoping I get some marans just trying to get the hatching process down... And check fertility...
