Google 'coyotes killing elk'.

We watched that from our deck once, but it was a buck deer. DH grabbed a rifle to kill some coyotes if he could, but before he could get near, they and the buck ran away. We thought the deer might be all right, but he must already have been badly hurt. Next day we found what was left of him. I know they have to eat, but we don't like them near here and it IS hard to watch.

I am specifically talking about fruit cake. You know, the one that many people use for a door stop and consider it inedible unless laced with liquor.
