Chewy or Amazon is a good place. And the small animal stuff is still cheap on Chewy unlike the cat and dog

Domestic mice will burrow down deep. It makes them feel safe - and the more space you give them, the cleaner they'll keep their living quarters. They're actually very clean animals, all things considered. I always wanted to buid a deep, narow window for my brother's mice, with sides just three or four inches apart, so I could watch them burrow - like an ant farm for mice. The closest we ever got was an aquarium half full of shavings. Soemotimes we could see them, sometimes we couldn't. I still think the ant farm idea would be cool. You could also set up cages/aquariums across a distance and connect them with a series of those clear tube tunnels used for hamsters. They'd have to be up high enough - or protected with HW cloth to keep rabbits from chewing through them - but they'd be fun for people to watch the mice run back and forth through. Give them a couple differnt types of wheel and lots of hidey holes and they'll be happy. Just be sure to keep your males and females separate ... 'cause happy mice are prolific mice!

My Dad took one look at the cost of catering and offered us girls a lump sum and a ladder to elope. Then he remembered my ... ummm ... lack of coordination ... and said that, for me, he'd make a minor exception. If I gave him a week's notice, he'd build me a staircase.

Same here....lump sum and we could choose to use it how we wished....since my sister chose to get married before she finished high school, hers was split in half. She got the first half before the wedding and the other half at graduation just in time to pay for the divorce......I kinda wish He’d kept it that way for me too!!!!
