for a second there i thought you had a weird colored marten lol then i realized it was a ferret.

they must be pretty nasty (being in the weasel family) i don't like them as i got attacked by one in a pet store as a kid.

As I said we dont have a lot of Predators here..... no raccoons, minks, coyotes, skunks, bobcats, bears, or snakes

very lucky, we got tons here. in fact on our land up north (near the boreal forest) i would not even consider raising chickens there.

yeah the idea of people keeping them as pets or feeding wild ones makes me mad

I'm so sorry about your lost chickens . Someone local to me just posted that they have seen mink, so I'm worried about my girls.
