washclothes

I buy matching wash clothes for my towels for the towels racks to look pretty.

i buy plain white wash clothes to bathe with - how else do you get little kids faces and ears clean? LOL

I buy white so I can bleach the laundry and everything is sterilized.

I too buy matching ones. Hubby uses them I dont, I use an all net loofa and the baby also has washclothes... I have to also buy cheap ones or whites ones because my face scrub has peroxide in it and cant use my pretty matching ones.

I like getting the clearance package (like 20 of them) and use them for everything!!

I quit using them for a while because when I was in college I just never got dirty.
I still just use my hands if I'm not really dirty.
When you're actually dirty though, ya gotta get some scrubbin in!
I like a kinda thin rag, seems to work better. Some of the expensive ones are so thick they seem useless!

Wow.. yes it's always fascinating how different everyone is.

You'll be pleased to know we use them everywhere. I have pretty multi colored ones for the bathroom now. I used to use scrubbies, but my skin got sensitive with age and they are frankly not clean enough for me, I'd have to wash it in the washing machine every day. Hanging them in the shower just didn't work for me, 3 showers a day, the thing never really got dry and starting grossing me out. So I finally got washclothes and now I have a new one for every shower, plus I LOVE the purple, pink & blue ones.. they make me smile! Not to mention my skin is SO MUCH healthier now that I am not scrubbing it off constantly.

And, we stopped with kitchen sponges & scrubbies a couple years ago.. we have white ones for the kitchen. I keep a bucket/tub next to the sink with bleach water, and when we're done with one, in it goes to await the weekly washing.

So.. we have about 2 dozen pretty colors for the bathroom
and about 4 dozen white for the kitchen/household.

We only use washcloths for house cleaningand waxing th furniture we make. I get those nylon scrunchy things for the shower, but we use exfoliating soap with sand in it. Works better alone.

Anyone ever accidentally put one of the scrunchies in the dryer?
